There have been thousands of teens all over the country that have been arrested on drug-related charges. They have had to go to rehab after their sentence, if they get one. Lions Martial Arts Academy has helped teens overcome their addiction, by teaching them self-discipline, how to stick to goals, and overcome their problems.

There are several concepts from class that can fit here. Two of those concepts are a traditional economy and a market economy. It is a traditional economy because the same types of skills have been taught for centuries, but it is also a market economy at the same time because it is up to the student to decide how to use the skills. The students can either use the skills in self-defense, or to just harm others. In most Martial Arts schools, however, they have a rule to only use the skills for self-defense.
This article also shows another concept we have learned. The students make a trade-off in a way. They trade their freedom to fight whenever they want, for new skills to defend themselves if they get attacked.
